Dr. Angie was born and raised in York, PA. After graduating from Red Lion Area Senior High School, she attended the Pennsylvania College of Technology and received a degree in Dental Hygiene. Afterwards, she continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree and numerous awards and honors. During her time at the dental school, Dr. Angie had the opportunity to spend additional time in the pediatric and special needs clinic. It was during this time she realized she wanted her professional career to involve caring for children.
After completing dental school, she completed a one year General Practice Residency at the York Hospital. She then returned to Pittsburgh and completed her Pediatric Dentistry training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. After completing research dealing with dental anomalies viewed on panoramic radiographs, she helped to co-author an article in the journal Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Angie knew she wanted to return to York County to practice pediatric dentistry and to help care for the dental needs of the children in our area. She joined Childrens Dental Centre of York in 2001 after completing her pediatric training. As the owner of Childrens Dental Centre of York since 2010, Dr. Angie continues to grow the practice in the same spirit that Dr. Dave began in 1989.
Outside of the office, Dr. Angie enjoys gardening and landscaping. Additionally, she loves to cook and tries to find time to play golf. Also when it is time for rest and relaxation, she enjoys going to the beach to participate in water activities on the bay.
Dr. Dave grew up near State College, and like his parents and sisters, graduated from Penn State University. His Doctor of Dental Surgery degree was earned at Temple University in Philadelphia. His pediatric dental residency was a three year program at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Dr. Dave and his wife, Leslie, chose York as their home in 1989 and opened the doors of Childrens Dental Centre of York, assisted by their 5 year old daughter who spent many hours helping Mom and Dad make their young patients feel at home.
In the past, he has treated patients in Ecuador and Russia while on mission trips. Additionally, he has served as a pediatric dentist to the Choctaw Indian nation in Oklahoma and to the Alaska Native population in Barrow, on Alaska’s North Slope.
Dr. Dave has co-authored two articles for the Journal of Pediatric Dentistry and has lectured for the York County Dental Society, the York Hospital and Penn State University.
On his farm in Southeastern York County, he enjoys time with his wife, and their five beautiful grandchildren. In his spare time, his hobbies include bag piping and ham radio.
